The new site, which is currently in development, will house nine inpatient wards designed to deliver a safe and therapeutic environment for residents, carers, staff and visitors. Scheduled to open in late 2024, North View will offer spacious, well-resourced, modern facilities that support the recovery from mental health illnesses. Pinpoint’s award-winning alarm system will be installed within the unit to deliver the highest safety standards for everyone on site. Our leading-edge staff attack systems will be pivotal in preventing potential issues from arising and in creating a calm, safe environment for patients to heal in. Due to the complex nature of their illness, residents in mental health units can behave aggressively toward hospital workers, and even toward themselves. In Northern Ireland alone, 50,000 attacks on healthcare staff have been reported in the last five years. This horrific figure goes some way to show the severity of the problem that is affecting key workers across the UK and Ireland. As a... --- - Published: 2024-10-25 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/5-examples-of-high-risk-workplaces-where-staff-alarm-systems-are-needed/ Across the UK, there is an increased need for businesses across a variety of sectors to re-evaluate and enhance their staff safety measures. The current climate of unprecedented violent behaviour requires organisations to have robust safety measures in place to protect their frontline staff. While a wide-spread issue, it is important to understand that each workplace will have its own unique set of safety challenges.  High-risk workplaces come in different forms and may not always seem obvious at first glance  We have identified five examples of high-risk workplaces and their priorities when considering a strong security strategy.   Hospitals & Mental Health Facilities  Hospitals are inherently high-risk environments, especially those with mental health units. Vulnerable patients experiencing complex health issues can often experience high levels of distress which may lead to hostile behaviour. Between April and November 2023, a staggering 406 violent incidents were reported against NHS workers in London alone (BBC). In this environment, it is crucial that safety protocols de-escalate volatile situations quickly and allow healthcare professionals to access assistance in dangerous situations, for their own safety and the safety of their patients. Schools ... --- - Published: 2024-08-06 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/st-brigids-hospital/ Located in Ballinasloe, Galway, The Creagh Suite in St. Brigid’s Hospital offers long-stay, continuing care for residents living with dementia and experiencing the psychological and behavioural symptoms of this illness. The facility holds 14-beds for individuals who require ongoing care for severe mental health conditions and dementia. Staff at the hospital provide therapeutic activities, physical health monitoring and continuous support to allow residents to carry out their daily lives. The challenge St. Brigid’s Hospital required a reliable, effective staff safety system to comply with Ireland’s health and safety legislation and protect the nursing staff on site. Pinpoint’s easy-to-use programme was chosen to meet the complex safety needs of the residents in Creagh Suite. Aggressive behaviour can occur in people experiencing the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. The confusion, hallucinations, memory loss and physical pain associated with the illness can cause a person to behave violently, often unintentionally. To protect against this, Pinpoint’s staff safety systems were installed prior to the residents moving into the Creagh Suite. The solution Cove Healthcare identified the Pinpoint System as meeting the highest level... --- - Published: 2024-08-06 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/making-learning-safer-at-carrongrange-school/ Carrongrange High School is the only purpose-built secondary school in Scotland for pupils with moderate, severe and complex additional support needs. It opened in August 2017 and is situated in the centre of Grangemouth, to the east of Falkirk. In this specialist environment, students are taught in classes with a maximum of 10 pupils and are supported by skilled and experienced practitioners who are committed to meeting their individual needs. The school places special importance on the health and wellbeing of its students, preparing them with the skills they need to live an independent life. The Labour Force Survey 2017-2019, published by the Health and Safety Executive in April 2020, shows that the risk for education professionals to suffer a non-fatal assault at work is three times as high as the national average for all professions. The challenge Teaching groups of students with varying special needs can be challenging for teachers and support staff. Some of these challenges include behavioural issues that could quickly escalate from smaller events into major incidents, endangering students and staff, if they are not managed... --- - Published: 2024-08-06 - Modified: 2026-03-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/preventing-violence-at-st-georges-hospital/ With 12 in-patient wards and a large number of outpatient clinics, St Georges Hospital is the main treatment centre for acute mental health problems in the Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital’s 400 staff look after patients with a wide range of mental health problems from young people experiencing their first episode of psychosis to mentally disordered offenders who have committed a criminal offence as well as inpatient care for elderly patients with dementia. The challenge Following a review of internal security systems, the trust identified the need to introduce better protection for frontline staff with a focus on updating the staff attack system. Integration was a major requirement by the Trust as they required a system that linked into existing security systems elsewhere in the hospital. On the wards, staff have control screens in the central ward office and use a paging system from a different provider. The hospital needed a system that would seamlessly integrate with the pre-existing security framework, whilst taking on board the fact that the previous system only worked with its own proprietary... --- - Published: 2024-08-06 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/addressing-aggression-in-millennium-care/ Millennium Care’s facility in North Yorkshire is a high-quality, specialised care home for people with learning difficulties and complex needs. Many residents are prone to exhibiting very challenging behaviour, which can expose staff to assault from (usually unintentional) outbursts of violent activity. The care home’s mix of residents includes adults throughout the spectrum from older to younger. Their conditions range from autism and learning difficulties through to very complex needs and extremely challenging backgrounds. Millennium Care accommodates 19 residents at any one time and the level of behavioural difficulty demands staffing on a one-to-one basis. Millennium Care prides itself on providing a highly supportive environment for its residents, including making available a wide range of activities such as a music group, cookery, drama, football, bowling, information technology, rugby, swimming and even first-aid.   The challenges Care home staff need to be able to covertly summon help when they need to de-escalate a situation before it has the chance to become violent. Staff also need to summon a ‘crash-team’ should a non-emergency situation arise either due to a threat to the... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/staff-security-systems-improve-patient-safety/ Ensuring patient safety is the single most important priority for healthcare staff. In high-risk healthcare settings the risk to patients is elevated, requiring additional measures to be put in place to ensure the wellbeing of service users. While Pinpoint’s staff security systems are predominantly used to prevent violence toward employees, our panic alarms also play a vital role in reducing risks of harm for service users. Here we explain how Pinpoint’s security systems enhance the safety and wellbeing of both patients and staff in high-risk environments. Instant support In certain high-risk settings, service users may suffer from severe mental health conditions which causes them to pose a threat to themselves. According to data from the NHS, incidents of self-harm in mental health units almost doubled between 2013-2017. It is therefore essential that these individuals can call for help should they feel at risk or in danger of self-harm. Pinpoint’s patient wrist PITs are both efficient and easily accessible, vital for service users experiencing distress. By simply pressing a button located on a wrist-worn device, the patient triggers a “patient call”,... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/how-staff-safety-systems-improve-staff-retention/ According to a 2022 NSI survey on healthcare retention, the average hospital turnover rate is 25. 9%, up from 18. 2% in just four years. Staff retention is a major concern for healthcare settings right now, with 110,000 posts currently unfilled and £3. 6 million spent per NHS trust each year to replace nurses alone. Reducing the NHS staff shortage must be a priority. And while there are many factors that will contribute to this, Pinpoint’s advanced staff safety systems certainly play a part in improving staff retention in healthcare settings. Read on to find out how...   Raises job satisfaction  A YouGov survey revealed that 67% of frontline NHS workers experience aggressive behaviour from a patient at least once a year. The results of this include increased stress, poor mental health, absenteeism due to physical illness and high staff turnover. Pinpoint’s award-winning staff safety systems reduce the risk of violence toward healthcare workers by enabling staff to call for assistance should a patient behave aggressively. By simply pressing a button a response team is alerted to the exact location... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/case-study-southwest-yorkshire-partnership-nhs-trust/ Pinpoint’s staff safety systems are installed in NHS organisations across the UK as a means to protect healthcare workers at risk in the workplace. One of these organisations is the Southwest Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, which provides mental health services in Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield and Barnsley. We spoke to Johan Celliers, the Security Advisor for Southwest Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, about the importance of advanced staff safety systems to address the increasing rates of aggression toward NHS staff. Where did you first learn about Pinpoint?    It was in 2007 when we had a request for staff alarms to be installed at one of our inpatient mental health units. There had been an increase in incidents within our own organisation that needed addressing, and Pinpoint was called in to help. Back then, I was unaware that this type of safety system existed, even though I had worked in health & safety for a couple of years. It was during 2009 that I got more involved in Pinpoint’s staff attack systems, as my role changed to a more dedicated... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/the-importance-of-safety-systems-for-supported-living-settings/ Pinpoint’s safety systems are increasingly used in assisted living settings, where vulnerable people can live under the supervision of carers. This form of ‘housing with care’ allows residents to retain a level of independence while accessing support from healthcare professionals. For disabled people and those with mental health conditions or illnesses, such environments are crucial for their quality of life. Nonetheless, due to the nature of these settings, aggressive behaviour or outbursts frequently take place. Advanced safety systems are required to reduce any risks of harm and to ensure that both residents and staff can access help quickly in an emergency. Reducing the risk of harm in assisted accommodation   In certain assisted living settings, residents may be prone to falls or slips. Here it is vital that they can summon help easily and efficiently, without having to move a great distance or rely on verbal communication. Moreover, any safety system in place must be highly reliable and robust – as accidents may happen at any time or place.   Pinpoint’s WristPITs are wrist-worn Personal Infrared Transmitters that call for assistance... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/5-steps-to-prevent-violence-toward-staff/ Violence toward staff in high-risk settings is a growing concern for different sectors and governments. As rates of aggression toward healthcare staff, care workers and retail staff rise, it’s clear that measures need to be put in place to protect employees in potentially dangerous workplaces. As the leading provider of staff safety systems, Pinpoint has unique insight into the safety measures that can be implemented to protect staff. Read on for five steps that businesses can take to reduce rates of violence toward their employees. Conduct a thorough risk assessment   All high-risk workplaces should have a detailed risk assessment in place to protect workers against potential threats to staff safety. A risk assessment identifies all possible dangers and provides a clear outline of how each will be managed. This thorough document enables businesses to implement measures to reduce key risks and develop thorough strategies to deal with aggressive behaviour. For example, placing new service users on 2-1 surveillance or ensuring the available staff attack system is accessible to all staff. Carried out well, risk assessments decrease the likelihood of a... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/the-impact-of-violence-on-staff-mental-wellbeing/ According to findings from the Labour Force Survey, every 30 minutes a health and social care worker is assaulted in the UK. It’s a shocking statistic, and yet does not seem to show any signs of decreasing. Rather, data from NHS England reveals that assaults against ambulance staff in 2021 increased by 30% from 2016-2017, while surveys carried out by the NHS find nurses and midwifes continue to report higher incidents of bullying, harassment, and abuse by patients. These figures go some way in highlighting the high-risks nature of working in care environments. Where patients have severe health conditions or are heavily medicated, staff are open to both verbal and physical assault. It is the responsibility of the employer to minimise this risk and put in place systems to protect staff security.   If not, the continuous exposure to and threat of violence has serious implications for those working in the health care profession. In addition to the physical injuries sustained, research from Frontiers in Public Health linked increased rates of workplace violence with reduced interest in work and job... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/five-nhs-staff-safety-stats/ The National Health Service, or NHS, is a cornerstone of the UK’s welfare state, playing a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of the nation. Yet despite their importance in protecting the public, NHS staff face an increasing rate of abuse from patients and members of the public, resulting in staff injury, absenteeism, and patient care.   In this blog, we explore five safety statistics, their impact on the healthcare service and potential solutions to address the issues. Here are five staff safety statistics you need to know.    14. 3% of NHS staff have experienced at least one incident of violence in the last 12 months (NHS England Staff Survey)  A staggering 14. 3% of NHS staff have experienced some type of physical violence at work in the last 12 months, as reported by an NHS England Survey. This equates to over 100,000 cases of staff violence reported in the last year. Abuse of healthcare staff is a serious issue with potentially severe consequences. Beyond physical injury, violence at work can have a lasting impact on the... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/the-evolution-of-pinpoints-personal-infrared-transmitter-pit/ The P2 Personal Infrared Transmitter (PIT) is a pioneering development for Pinpoint’s trusted personal staff alarms, which have successfully served high-risk workplaces for over 30 years. An update to the previous model, the P2 PIT utilises the same powerful infrared technology as its predecessor, emitting strong signals to receiver units installed throughout the ceiling when activated, which in turn relays key information to display units for responders to react to. Also, in keeping with past iterations of the device, the P2 PIT has two call levels – assistance and emergency – correlating to the severity of the incident in question. The assistance call is activated by pressing a button on the bottom of the device, while the emergency level is emitted by separating the pin from the PIT body.   However, the P2 PIT holds a variety of new features that enhance the user experience and make for a high-performance system. Design   The P2 PIT enjoys a discreet, modern design, giving the device a minimalist look so as to blend in with the environment and not raise the attention of... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/protecting-patients-world-patient-day/ Every year on 17th September, World Patient Day recognises the critical need to protect and improve the safety of patients across the globe. In this blog post, we will shed light on how Pinpoint's personal alarm systems are positively impacting patient safety and well-being to enhance the experience of those within the healthcare system. Empowering patients with personal alarms  Vulnerable patients may require assistance in emergencies or accidents. Pinpoint's Wrist PIT provides an innovative solution, enabling patients to call for help instantly.   With the simple press of the CALL button on the device, patients alert staff to their exact location within seconds. This communication facilitates rapid intervention and professional support available to the patient.   Pinpoint's comprehensive safety system includes Over Door Lights and Alphanumeric Display Units, which further guide staff to the precise location of the incident, ensuring a coordinated and efficient response to minimise harm to patients. A swift response to aggressive incidents  It is not uncommon for service users in high-risk healthcare settings, such as mental health hospitals and nursing homes, to behave aggressively toward one... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/how-school-alarm-systems-help-irish-teachers/ As with any public institution, schools and educational facilities can experience high-risk incidents that require immediate attention. Recent reports suggest violent incidents have become increasingly prominent in schools across Ireland, often seeing teaching staff leaving due to the escalating levels of aggression from pupils. In recent years, a number of schools in Ireland and the UK have adopted advanced alarm systems to bolster safety measures and empower teaching staff. We explore how these alarm systems help to create a safer environment for both students and teachers. Preventing Injury   The foremost objective of these modern safety alarms is to prevent injuries to both staff and pupils. By providing a discreet and silent way for staff members to call for support during an incident, these alarms facilitate the swift intervention and diffusion of potentially aggressive situations. Our work with schools has shown that the mere awareness of these alarms can often serve as a deterrent to aggressors, preventing attacks altogether. With the knowledge that their actions will not go unnoticed or unaddressed, students are less inclined to engage in disruptive behaviour. In... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/4-ways-staff-safety-systems-reduce-stress/ Violence against staff can have a devastating impact, both physically and mentally. It's not just a matter of personal harm - it also affects workplace morale and can lead to an increase in stress-related sick leave. Recognising the connection between staff safety and wellbeing, the importance of staff attack systems in high-risk workplaces is all the more evident. To create a secure and stress-free work environment, here are four effective ways businesses can utilise staff safety systems to protect their teams and promote productivity. 1. Investment in staff safety  Investing in employee safety and wellbeing is paramount for reducing workplace stress. When companies genuinely care for their staff, they create a happier work environment where employees know they are valued. This sense of security goes a long way in preventing stress associated with the fear of potential attacks. Allocating resources to find the right staff safety systems not only ensures the safety of your employees but also strengthens the bond between employees and their employers, creating a collaborative and productive work environment.   Explore our case studies to see how... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/tackling-abuse-toward-retail-staff/ Violence toward shop workers in the UK has almost doubled compared with pre-pandemic times, says a new report from the British Retail Consortium (BRC). According to the BRC’s Crime Survey, more than 850 attacks a day were recorded between 2021 and 2022.   The rise in abusive behaviour toward retail staff is being linked to the cost-of-living crisis, which is pushing more people into financial insecurity, high stress and theft. With over 3300,000 employees having experienced abuse in the past year, it’s evident more needs to be done to protect retail staff from violence and drive down abusive behaviour. Here we lay out four key measures to address mounting violence toward shop workers. Zero tolerance   Crucially, a zero-tolerance approach should be taken toward abusive customers, with strict consequences for those who behave aggressively. All staff should be informed of the protocol for dealing with violent or hostile shoppers, such as activating a staff safety alarm or calling the police.   Invest in quality staff attack systems   Should a member of the public become aggressive, it is vital shop workers can... --- - Published: 2024-08-01 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/upgrade-staff-attack-system/ As the market leader with multiple 5* reviews, Pinpoint is often the go-to for businesses looking to switch their current alarm system to the Pinpoint staff attack system. There are several reasons for doing so - advancing technology and evolving security needs may necessitate a newer system, while older models can pose a safety threat to both staff and service users. Whatever the reason may be, if your current safety system is no longer serving your needs, it’s worthwhile considering your options. Read on for the three reasons why you should consider switching your business’ safety system.   Damage to the system   Due to the very nature of the environment in which they are installed, staff safety systems can be exposed to vandalism and violence from service users. While this is to be somewhat expected, if your staff safety system is repeatedly getting damaged leading to ‘downtime’, it may be worth considering an alternative, more robust system. Pinpoint’s P2 system benefits from an anti-vandal fascia which is built to withstand tampering and prevent damage. Stronger materials have been used throughout... --- - Published: 2024-07-26 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/pinpoint-goes-the-extra-mile/ In high-risk workplaces such as acute mental health wards and prisons, the safety of staff is of utmost importance, as incidents can occur in the blink of an eye. It is an alarming figure and one that goes to show the high-risk nature of working in hospital settings. It is widely known that in some health care settings, patients may at times pose a threat to staff safety. Where service users are seriously unwell, they may act out violently or dangerously, leaving carers little time to protect themselves and others. As a result, measures have to be put in place to reduce aggressive behaviour. In the NHS, staff are given de-escalation training to manage patient violence, the aim being to prevent aggressive behaviour from occurring at all. Similarly, health care professionals are required to report all incidents of violence and provide detailed handover notes about aggressive behaviour to ensure extra measures are taken when working with specific patients. While effective in minimising the potential risk of violence, these measures provide little help should an act of aggression take place. Moreover, research has been deemed such measures insufficient to prevent the number... --- - Published: 2024-07-26 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/safety-alarm-systems-businesses/ Over the decades we have collaborated with a wide variety of businesses across many sectors, all with differing needs and challenges, yet with one common goal: to protect their staff and service users. As a result, we are well versed in the considerations involved in choosing a safety alarm system for businesses no matter their size or specific requirements. In this guide, we explore the elements you should consider when seeking the right alarm system for your business. Key Considerations Durability and use Firstly, it’s important to take into account your area of business and frequency of alarm usage. In a retail setting, staff safety alarms may be used less frequently when compared with a high-risk correctional facility, where demand may be greater. The extent of alarm use influences many aspects of your alarm system; devices that are used multiple times a day should be robust, and able to withstand daily wear and tear. Additionally, in environments like hospitals or mental health settings where alarms may be installed in bathrooms, opting for water-resistant materials is essential. Area of Coverage The... --- - Published: 2024-07-26 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/design-in-mental-health-2024/ Pinpoint will be making its return to Design in Mental Health Conference in June this year, with a new stand and array of innovative devices to display. The UK’s leading event focusing on the design, construction, refurbishment, and clinical provision of mental health environments, Design in Mental Health Conference is a key date in the industry calendar. We are delighted to showcase our revolutionary P2 System, connect with industry figures, catch up with familiar faces, and contribute to the wider discussion around the safe design of mental health spaces. Witness the P2 System in action The abuse of mental health workers by patients is well-documented, with a 2019 UNISON survey reporting 40% of NHS mental healthcare professionals to have experienced a violent attack that year. Seven years on little has changed; some 92% of healthcare employees reported experiencing violence in the workplace last year. Pinpoint’s discreet, high-speed and easy-to-use P2 personal panic alarm systems enable mental health staff to quickly summon assistance should a patient display hostile or high-risk behaviour. By communicating the exact location and nature of an incident,... --- - Published: 2024-07-25 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/body-worn-cameras-not-the-answer/ Following a 30% increase in violent attacks towards ambulance staff, The Guardian reported that NHS ambulance crews would be given body-worn cameras to record aggressive behaviour. The footage could then be handed into the police where necessary, serving as useful evidence in case of an assault. While effective in reporting on such attacks, when it comes to protecting staff from harm, the benefits of body-worn cameras are limited. Allan Aikman, Pinpoint’s product manager, explains why: "Interventions like body-worn cameras are only useful after the fact. The incident has already happened. ” Despite the presence of the recording device, this alone cannot deter a violent attack, leaving staff at risk of aggression without a support team to defend them. Staff attack security systems that interface with CCTV offer a more full-proof approach to staff safety. Allan suggests, “NHS Trusts need to invest in security systems that help protect staff in real-time, either by stopping a situation before it develops into violence or getting people the help they need as an incident occurs. ” Rather than wait until the incident has passed,... --- - Published: 2024-07-25 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/how-staff-panic-alarms-work/ Having worked in the business of security alarms for over 30 years, we’re experts in the technical make-up and the benefits of staff panic alarms for the workplace. Since 1992 we have developed, manufactured, and installed personal alarm systems for those who are at risk of violence in the workplace and therefore may need to summon help quickly. For those of you who are not quite so sure about how personal panic alarms are used to protect staff in high-risk working environments, here is a quick rundown: Infrared technology Pinpoint’s PITs (Personal Infrared Transmitters) act as personal alarms for staff at risk of violence in the workplace. As the name suggests, these panic alarms use infrared technology, emitting coded pulses of light to receivers installed in the ceiling. This, in turn, notifies connected communication devices, displaying the caller’s identity, location and call type to a response team. It is a rapid process, taking under 85 milliseconds from activating the alarm to reaching the display unit. Without having to rely on Wi-Fi, Pinpoint’s panic alarms deliver a more efficient, reliable service.... --- - Published: 2024-07-25 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/anti-ligature-patient-safety/ Pinpoint’s safety systems play a vital role in protecting patients in mental health units. In addition to patient WristPITs that residents can activate when in need of assistance, Pinpoint also offer a door top alarm interface that reduces the risks of self-harm in inpatients. Research looking at the rates of suicide in mental health facilities in the UK between 1999 and 2007 found that 77% were by hanging. According to the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety (2016), strangulation continues to be the most common method of suicide in psychiatric wards. Doors present a significant risk due to their ligature points and are known to be one of the most common methods for hanging in mental health units. Pinpoint’s safety systems minimise the risk of a patient inflicting harm on themselves or others through an advanced door top alarm interface. When a ligature event seems to be occurring, the door top alarm interface is triggered, activating the Pinpoint System, and alerting a response team to the exact location of the potential incident. In addition to staff receiving an alert... --- - Published: 2024-07-25 - Modified: 2025-06-13 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/how-choose-staff-attack-system/ With new legislation being introduced to improve employee health and safety, the demand for staff attack systems in high-risk workplaces is on the rise. Environments where employees are at risk of abuse from service users, such as hospitals, mental health facilities and even schools, require efficient, powerful staff alarm systems that ensure the swift intervention and de-escalation of violent incidents. The question is how to choose the most appropriate system for that environment. With several options to choose from and many different factors to consider, selecting the right staff attack systems for a workplace requires careful evaluation. Efficiency & Speed When it comes to preventing an aggressive attack, quick intervention is crucial. In high-risk settings, service users can quickly become hostile with little to no warning. For this reason, it is crucial that employees on the receiving end of such behaviour can summon assistance quickly and easily. The longer a safety system takes to activate, the higher the risk of an assault taking place. The Pinpoint system activates in just 85 milliseconds; the mere push of a button on a... --- - Published: 2018-01-08 - Modified: 2026-02-10 - URL: https://www.pinpoint.ltd.uk/new-regional-sales-manager-strengthens-us-division/ Pinpoint are pleased to announce the appointment of Corey Greenberg as Regional Sales Manager for America.
