How long have you worked at Pinpoint?


22 years. I joined in 1999.


What are three words to describe your role?


Everchanging, challenging, enjoyable


Explain what a typical day at work looks like for you?


My working day can vary. 


I work in the hub processing orders and providing floor plans/drawings for our engineers to work from.


I also manage our existing Scottish accounts. If a customer has any questions, requests for amendments or new additions to their staff safety system, I am their first point of contact.


At Pinpoint, and due to the nature of our work, we also offer a 24/7 call out service. I’m part of a team of three who cover the rota for this on call period. So, as you can see, my workday can be different from one day to the next!


What is the best thing about your job?


Building great relationships with customers and knowing the service we provide helps keep people safe in their place of work. What we do as a business really makes a difference.


What, in your opinion, helps Pinpoint stand out from the crowd?


During my time here I’ve had experience working in production, installation, service and commissioning and now in sales and the hub. I’ve seen first-hand the quality and meticulous attention to detail that goes into our products, the high standard of installation right through to the excellent level of service we provide and believe this really differentiates us in the market. I’m proud to work here.


What do you do with your time off?


Well, not a lot at the moment thanks to lockdown! I can’t complain though, as it gives me extra time to spend with my wife and daughters.


I enjoy sports though and I’m renowned for my competitiveness so I hope I can get back to some sporting activities soon and have a beer or two along the way!
