Sounder with Selectable Tones
The Sounder with Selectable Tones is used to audibly alert staff. Sound is an important part of the System as a whole - in order for
colleagues to respond they must be aware that a call has been made.
The Sounder provides an alarm tone when the System has been activated. In general this will be a constant tone for an Emergency Call, whereas an Assistance Call may sound an intermittent tone. There are up to 32 different setups for the Sounder, meaning that different tones can be implemented to suit the needs of the end user. The decibel level can also be set and ranges up to 110Dbs.
Mounting & Design
The unit should be located in the ceiling or wall mounted. Consideration should also be given to the condition of the surface to which the sounder is to be mounted: It must be free from damp/moisture, not be subject to any shock or vibration, and be secure enough to allow a good fixing for the unit.
Mini Sounder
The P2 Mini Sounder (P2SOUNDNIGHT) is used to audibly alert staff at night without disrupting the rest of the ward/area. Sound is an important part of the System as a whole - in order for colleagues to respond they must be aware that a call has been made.
The Mini Sounder works alongside a P2 Day/Night Unit (P2DAY/NIGHT) and standard Sounder Unit (P2SOUND) to provide a less harsh, quieter, audible staff alert when required. When an RFID tag is presented to the Day/Night Unit; it will switch the state of the sounder(s) it is controlling from day to night or vice versa.

The P2 Mini Sounder should be mounted in a convenient place where it can be heard by staff when activated and near its assosciated equipment as per containment specification and industry standards. Consideration should be given to the condition of the surface to which the unit is to be mounted: it should be free from damp and moisture, not be subject to any shock or vibration, and be secure enough to allow a good fixing for the P2SOUNDNIGHT backbox.
The Mini Sounder is designed to fit a standard single gang UK backbox. The fascia is manufactured from an ABS/Polycarbonate blend for maximum durability in harsh environments. The fascia plastic has an integrated Biomaster additive to destroy or inhibit the growth of a wide range of microbes, fungi and moulds over the entire lifespan of the product.
Day/Night Unit
The P2 Day/Night Unit is used to adjust the level of sound coming from the Sounders on the Pinpoint System. When an RFID tag ispresented to the Day/Night Unit; it will switch the state of the sounder(s) it is controlling from day to night or vice versa. The status of the unit is indicated by use of the red LEDs which shine through the rectangular window. The unit will stay latched in this state until the tag is removed from the reading range (up to 30mm away from the fascia) and reintroduced.

Mute Unit RFID
The P2 Mute Unit is used to mute all of the sound from the Sounder line connected to the appropriate unit(s). When the relevant RFID tag is presented to the Mute Unit it will switch the state of the unit it is controlling from active to muted and vice versa . The status of the unit is indicated by a ring of red LEDs when muted, which shine through a rectangular window. The unit will stay latched in this state until the tag is removed from the reading range (up to 30mm away from the fascia) and reintroduced.

The Mute Unit is designed to fit a standard single gang UK backbox. The fascia is a single piece designed to maximise durability; the main body is made from a Polycarbonate/ABS plastic blend with an inserted clear Polycarbonate indication window. All of the plastic utilised within the fascia has integrated Biomaster additive to destroy or inhibit the growth of a wide range of microbes, fungi and moulds over the entire lifespan or the product. The unit is designed to be secured to the backbox using 30mm security screws which are countersunk into the fascia.
