The Transmitter Test Station (TTS) provides an enclosed environment to accurately test your Pinpoint Personal Infrared Transmitters (PITs) without interference from other products or interfering with the Pinpoint System. This is done by putting your hands through the IR blocking sleeves and activating the PIT inside the P2TTS. Perpetual PITs, Battery PITs and Badge PITs from both the P1 and P2 Pinpoint Systems are compatible with the P2TTS.There are 2 types of PIT:Single Code: This transmits an Emergency Alarm when either the PIT is detached from its retaining pin or the button is pressed (depending on the model of PIT). When activated inside the Transmitter Test Station the Emergency red light on the top of the P2TTS will illuminate and emit an audible beep. For Badge PITs there is no pin to detach. These are tested by activating the large central button on the Badge PIT inside the P2TTS. The red Emergency LED will illuminate and the P2TTS will emit an audible beep.Twin Code: This transmits an Emergency Alarm when the PIT is detached from its retaining pin and either an Assistance or a Patient Call Alarm (secondary level of call depending on the exact model of PIT) when the PIT button is pressed. When Assistance or Patient Call is activated inside the P2TTS, the Assistance green light on the TTS will illuminate and be accompanied by an audible beep. When Emergency is activated inside the Test Station, the Emergency red light will illuminate and be accompanied by an audible beep. For Badge PITs there is no pin to detach. These are tested by activating the large central button on the Badge PIT for Emergency and the small button in the corner of the Badge PIT to activate it’s secondary level of call. The
relevant LEDs will illuminate and be acompanied by an audible beep.The P2 Transmitter Test Station has a detachable mains power supply so can be situated wherever the customer feels is best and most easily accessible for staff - as long as it is near a power source. It is recommended this be in a Nurse Station or Reception. When using Perpetual PITs (P2PITPERP) the P2TTS is best used in conjunction with a P2 Energizer Station (P2ENERGIZ) before the start of a staff member’s shift, and after a real-world Emergency Alarm activation, to ensure maximum reliability and safety throughout the day.Design: The P2 Transmitter Test Station has been designed to sit on a table or desk to be used at the start of a staff member’s shift or after a real-world Emergency Alarm activation. The unit is large enough to pull the PIT from the retaining pin inside but still small and light enough to be moved and plugged in elsewhere as needed. The unit features tinted IR-blocking sleeves to prevent any IR leakage and accidental System activations, as well as visual and audio cues to confirm PIT functionality.
