Mobile Defender 1 Device: 

The Defender Phone 1 for Mobile Alert is a mobile phone pre-loaded with the Pinpoint Mobile Alert app. The app is designed to work in harmony with the existing Pinpoint System and notifies you of alarm and maintenance calls on your Pinpoint System - these can be received anywhere as long as you have a data signal. In addition, calls from several different systems can be received simultaneously, with an option to see an up-to-date overview of what is going on around you.

In order to restrict the use of the phone, the Pinpoint Launcher has been installed in tandem with “LockApp”. This means that the phone can only be used to access Pinpoint Mobile Alert. Any other attempt to access apps will request a PIN. You will need this PIN to access the settings and complete the initial setup of the phone. The LockApp PIN is “1111”, however this should be changed to a more secure code.

Pinpoint AC Alert:

Pinpoint PC Alert is software that brings the Pinpoint System to your PC, giving the user all the advantages of having a personal Pinpoint Display shown conveniently on their computer screen. Not only can it lower response times to alarms, but it also offers customisation features - for example, alarm notifications received can be configured to suit the user’s needs. This allows the user to only be informed of events happening that are relevant to them. This is particularly suited to environments that are changing quickly, or often, where certain areas may require more monitoring by a particular member, or members, of staff.

PC Alert works by utilising an Ethernet interface to the separate Pinpoint network. Through this interface the computer can receive all alarm activity that takes place on the Pinpoint network. Once the program is installed and set up it will remain dormant in the system tray of the computer until it is required to inform the user of an event. PC Alert receives all Pinpoint messages and, if relevant, displays it to the user via a pop up window. PC Alert features both audio and visual alarms, both of which can be enabled or disabled for a range of alarm call levels and addresses. 

When relaying alarm information each level of call will be displayed using a distinctly different colour, making it easily distinguishable at a glance. In addition to this, a familiar icon will be shown relating to the level of call, as well as displaying the location of the alarm and the date & time. This ensures that the notification can be read and responded to in the quickest and easiest fashion possible.
