We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our latest education project, with the installation of the Pinpoint P2 System at Briarwood South in Bristol, installed and ready for use for the start of the new school year.
The installation was completed over a four-week period, providing the school with a discreet and immediate way for staff to request assistance when they need it.

Supporting Staff In a Specialist Educational Environment
Briarwood South is a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school, providing education and support for pupils aged 4 to 16 with severe and profound learning difficulties, complex needs, autism and sensory impairments.
Working in a specialist educational setting can present unique challenges for staff. Situations can sometimes develop unexpectedly, and staff may need assistance quickly while supporting pupils or responding to challenging situations.
Having an effective staff safety system in place can provide an important additional layer of support. The Pinpoint P2 System gives staff a discreet way to call for assistance, helping to alert colleagues when support is required and enabling an appropriate response as quickly as possible.
For staff, knowing help is readily available can provide reassurance as they carry out their day-to-day responsibilities.

Why Staff Safety Is Important In Schools
Creating a safe school environment is about more than protecting pupils and visitors. Staff safety is an equally important part of maintaining a positive and supportive educational setting.
Teachers, teaching assistants, support workers and other school staff can all find themselves in situations where they need additional assistance. This can be particularly relevant in specialist school settings, where pupils may have complex needs and staff may be required to respond to a wide range of behaviours or situations.

A Staff Safety Alarm Can Help Schools To:
- Provide staff with a rapid way to request assistance when they need support
- Improve communication between colleagues, particularly when staff are working across different areas of a school
- Give staff greater reassurance, knowing that they have a way of calling for help if a situation develops
- Support a proactive approach to staff safety, rather than relying solely on staff being able to find or reach a colleague themselves
- Help create a calmer and more secure environment, allowing staff to focus on supporting pupils and delivering education
- Give parents and carers assurance that a swift response is ensured if a safety risk arises
Supporting a Positive Learning Environment
Staff wellbeing and pupil wellbeing are closely connected. When staff feel supported and confident that assistance is available when required, they can concentrate on their primary role: providing pupils with the care, education and support they need.
In a SEND setting, where pupils may require highly individualised support, maintaining a safe and reassuring environment is particularly important. A discreet staff alarm system can form part of a school's wider approach to safeguarding, risk management and staff protection, without unnecessarily disrupting the learning environment.
The aim is not simply to respond when something goes wrong, but to give staff an additional layer of confidence throughout the school day.

Four Weeks of Installation, Ready for The New School Year
The Pinpoint P2 installation at Briarwood South was completed over four weeks, ensuring the system was in place ahead of the start of the new school year.
We are delighted to have supported Briarwood South in putting an additional layer of staff protection and support in place, helping the school continue its work to provide a safe, secure and supportive environment for both staff and pupils.
The project forms part of our continued work with schools and educational settings, helping them introduce practical safety solutions that support their staff while allowing them to focus on what matters most – creating positive learning environments for the pupils in their care.
