Pinpoint will be making its return to Design in Mental Health Conference in June this year, with a new stand and array of innovative devices to display.

The UK’s leading event focusing on the design, construction, refurbishment, and clinical provision of mental health environments, Design in Mental Health Conference is a key date in the industry calendar.

We are delighted to showcase our revolutionary P2 System, connect with industry figures, catch up with familiar faces, and contribute to the wider discussion around the safe design of mental health spaces.

Witness the P2 System in action

The abuse of mental health workers by patients is well-documented, with a 2019 UNISON survey reporting 40% of NHS mental healthcare professionals to have experienced a violent attack that year. Seven years on little has changed; some 92% of healthcare employees reported experiencing violence in the workplace last year.

Pinpoint’s discreet, high-speed and easy-to-use P2 personal panic alarm systems enable mental health staff to quickly summon assistance should a patient display hostile or high-risk behaviour. By communicating the exact location and nature of an incident, or indeed multiple incidents taking place simultaneously, the P2 System allows responders to quickly intervene and de-escalate the situation.

Attendees of the conference will have the opportunity to view and test Pinpoint’s pioneering P2 staff safety system. Among the key components on display include:

  • The enhanced P2 display unit, now with remote file upload
  • The P2 Personal Infrared Transmitter, redesigned to meet the demands of the modern mental health worker
  • IP67-rated Patient Call Buttons
  • Keyless resetting devices to allow for maximum efficiency in high-pressure settings.

Design in Mental Health attendees will be able to talk to Pinpoint’s expert team about the business’ award-winning safety systems, discuss their facility’s safety requirements and take a look at our P2 devices in action.

Preparing for the Copper Switch-Off

Finally, with the shutting down of all networks relying on copper wire planned for 31 December 2025, Pinpoint customers with pre-existing reporting supervisors are required to update their devices to adapt to the new fibre optic network.

Come and speak to the team at the Design in Mental Health Conference about switching over to a new supervisor unit to prevent disruption to the service and ensure the smooth operation of your Pinpoint System.
