P2 Display Units

P2 Display Units

P2 Display Units display the exact location, call level and caller ID, if necessary, of an activated alarm to the response team.
Performance
With the capacity to manage multiple incidents simultaneously, the P2 Display Units shows activated calls in succession, which are then removed when reset.
Audio
Programmed with a day/night sounder for day and night shifts. Intelligent mute software allows for the control of specific sounders where needed.
Precision
The P2 Display unit communicates the exact location of an activated alarm.

Enhanced Display

Facilitates a fast response

Making use of a full-colour graphical display and accessible iconography, the P2 System shows a summary of all active calls, including the incident level and location.

Maximum Precision

  • The P2 Display Unit presents the precise location of an activated alarm
  • In a hospital of multiple wards and rooms, this information increasing efficiency when responding to an alarm activation
  • Guarantees the exact information, every time

Remote Updates

Cost-effective solutions

Receiver Unit addresses can be updated remotely, facilitating efficient, cost-effective system updates to take place without disrupting the unit.

Additional Features

  • Robust, anti-vandal fascia design
  • Displays maintenance alerts when used with System Supervisor
  • High speed system displays activated alarm in just 85 millisecond
The P2 Graphical Display uses a large (5 inch) colour graphical display to show active calls on the Pinpoint system.
When a call is active on the system (if the display is zoned to receive it) the location and level of the will call be shown, accompanied by a coloured background according to the displayed call level and a level specific icon. In the event there is more than one active call on the Pinpoint system; the display will show the next call (in order of activation) every 5 seconds. In order to quickly convey not only the total amount of calls, but also the amount of calls of each level an indicator ribbon is present at the top of the screen. The indicator ribbon gives, at a glance, a count of each level of call by placing the number of incidents of each call beside the appropriate icon.

If configured appropriately the display may also show maintenance alerts sent from the supervisor while no alarms are active. In this case a maintainence icon will be displayed with a red background along with a description of the alert and the location of the affected Receiver. The indicator ribbon will also change to show the total amount of maintainence messages.
The display can provide external sounder support to facilitate the connection of separate sounders/beacons and is also available with the addition of an integral sounder. A software mute button or RFID mute option is available to mute the sound. The sound pattern of the sounders varies to indicate different levels of call - continuous for Emergency, intermittent for other levels. In addition, the tone of external sounders can be pre-programmed to suit individual requirements.

Each unit should ideally be located at eye level and positioned to provide both audible and visual information of an alarm condition to all staff in the immediate area. Consideration should be given to the condition of the surface to which the Graphical Display Unit is to be mounted: it should be free from damp and moisture, not subject to any shock or vibration, and be secure enough to allow a good fixing for the unit. If the remote update function is to be used consideration must also be given to connecting the CAT5E cable into the back of the unit in a manner that is not vulnerable to tampering

Remote Update Facility

The Graphical Display contains a configuration file called a ‘message table’. This contains the addresses of all Receiver Units and descriptions of relevant locations in the Pinpoint System. The descriptions for each address location are displayed by the SADU when an alarm message is received over the Data Bus from that address location. The P2 Graphical Display may be updated either remotely by use of an internal networked server or by direct USB connection. If the networked server is present the display will also send a periodic “heartbeat” to the server and display a warning icon if the heartbeat is not acknowledged.

Design
The Graphical Display has been designed to withstand harsh environments. The fascia is constructed from a single plastic moulding consisting of two parts. The main fascia is a PC/ABS blend while the window is a clear Polycarbonate material. The display can be mounted in either surface or flush fashion. 4x3.5 RSC CSK Hex Pin Machine screws are used to secure the unit into the backbox.
